Common printing techniques

1. Watermark

Also known as printing, it uses water-based elastic adhesive as the printing medium.

Features: Good coloring power, strong coverage, good fastness, washable, and basically no odor.

Application: Suitable for spunbond non-woven fabrics of various colors, capable of printing clear and durable patterns.

2. Heat transfer printing

Belonging to special printing, it requires an intermediate medium (heat transfer film or heat transfer paper). First, the graphic and text are printed onto the intermediate medium, and then the pattern is transferred to non-woven fabric by heating with transfer equipment.

Features: Exquisite printing, rich layering, comparable to photos. But it is not suitable for long-term storage, printing patterns are prone to falling off, and the price is expensive.

Application: Suitable for small area color image printing, such as brand logos, patterns, etc.

3. Gravure printing (including offset printing and copperplate printing)

It is divided into two steps: first, the traditional gravure printing process is used to print the graphics and text onto the film, and then the laminating process is used to composite the patterned film onto non-woven fabric.

Features: Exquisite printing, short production cycle, good waterproof performance, high durability.

Application: Non woven bags suitable for large-area color pattern printing, which can meet the market's requirements for product aesthetics and durability.

4. Screen printing (silk screen printing)

A traditional printing process, usually operated manually.

Features: Obvious unevenness, bright colors, but high price, slow speed, and difficult color control.

Application: Suitable for spunbond nonwoven products with specific printing requirements.

Selection of Printing Techniques

When choosing the printing process for spunbond nonwoven fabrics, the following factors need to be considered:

1. Pattern requirements: Choose the appropriate technique based on the complexity and number of colors required for the pattern. Watermarks are suitable for printing simple patterns and single or few colors; Heat transfer printing is suitable for printing small area high-precision patterns; Gravure printing is suitable for printing large-area color patterns.

2. Cost budget: The cost of different printing processes varies, and the appropriate process needs to be determined based on product pricing and market demand.

3. Production efficiency: Mechanized production methods such as gravure printing can significantly improve production efficiency and are suitable for large-scale production; However, manual operations such as screen printing have lower production efficiency and are suitable for small-scale production or customized products.

4. Environmental requirements: With the increasing awareness of environmental protection, more and more customers are paying attention to the environmental performance of printing technology. When choosing a process, it is necessary to consider whether it causes pollution to the environment and whether it meets relevant environmental standards.

The development trend of printing technology

With the continuous advancement of technology and changes in market demand, the printing process of spunbond nonwoven fabrics is also constantly developing. In the future, printing technology will pay more attention to environmental protection, energy conservation, and efficiency. At the same time, with the popularization of digital technology, digital printing technology will gradually be applied to the printing production of spunbond non-woven fabrics, achieving more personalized and customized printing needs.

In summary, there are various printing processes for spunbond nonwoven fabrics, each with its unique characteristics and application scope. When choosing printing technology, it is necessary to comprehensively consider product demand and market demand to ensure the production of high-quality spunbond non-woven fabric products that meet customer needs.
